I have this little problem...

This is an accidental outfit with which I ended up being mostly pleased. Mostly. I think the shirt is just a little too big to wear under the dress (or, in US terms, the jumper, as opposed to what I usually mean, when I say jumper, which is sweater. An expat for fifteen years this August!) but not so big it bothered me all that much.
It came together when I attempted to wear another navy blue ensemble, and quickly concluded that the tunic I was wearing with a very fitted pencil skirt was much too loose for that to not look very, very stupid indeed. At that point, I had the tights on already, and once that happens, I have committed to my colour for the day, so a quick rummage through my dress rack (must take photos and write a post about the dressing room eventually) turned up this recently-thrifted dress/jumper, and I dug out the stripey shirt to go all matchy-matchy with the navy tights. Then I saw the boots on their shelf, and realised they matched the dress very well, and there you have it: today’s outfit.
Details:
Stripey tee: H&M, remixed.
Corduroy jumper/dress: Laura Ashley, thrifted. And here again we have my weird ability to find Laura Ashley clothes I like only in thrift shops.
Pendant: Wallis, remixed.
Tights: M&S, remixed.
Boots: I have no idea what brand these are. I got them at TK Maxx, and other than the price tag, the ONLY identifying information to be found on them was a sticky with the size and the materials (leather uppers/man-made lining and soles) stuck to the bottom of one of them. I wish I knew the brand, because they’re really very nice boots.
