Please note: Tumblr’s new set-up is making it impossible for me to get the right sized image for EBEW, so I’ve had to split this into two, and I’m hoping a single image — since these photos all DO meet the parameters for the EBEW site — will do the trick.
(It did. If you want to see the other photos, please just go to my main site, which is right here.)
Not the most adventurous pattern-mixing I could come up with, but today’s schedule required me to look pretty respectable and fairly conservative. And all that sunlight you see, that’s causing me to squint so attractively? That was nowhere in sight for most of the day, and the temperature, even when the sun came out, was by no means balmy, so I needed those tights and that jumper.
The leaping cat is the one who’s just been diagnosed with renal impairment. She’s pretty spry for an old gal with dodgy kidneys, yes?
Details:
Silk bandanna: TK Maxx, remixed. I am liking these little square scarves, which is new for me, since I’m mainly an oversized oblong scarf kinda gal.
Polka-dotted jumper: Geoffrey Beene, thrifted.
Pin-striped skirt: Cath Kidston. It’s kind of rumpled, due to a hard day’s wear, but when it doesn’t look as if I took a nap in it, it’s far more flattering.
Bangles: Oasis and various, remixed.
Cat: North London RSPCA
Tights: M&S, remixed.
Shoes: Michael Kors. I can’t believe I found these in my size. Incidentally, if it looks like I’m about six-and-a-half feet tall in these shoes, it’s BECAUSE I AM. Seriously, I am like freakshow tall in these, and I love it. They’re platform suede slingback clogs, if the photos aren’t making that clear.
