I’ve been wanting to wear this outfit for a while now, but something about it felt a little off, in terms of the time of year and the temperatures. Perhaps I wasn’t quite ready to fully commit to autumn until now, and now that I say this, we’ll probably get a heatwave, but I’m most likely going to be abandoning my summer clothes for another year as of about now.
This outfit was all I’d hoped it would be, when I dreamed it up, and today its hour finally came. In spite of the personal style shift I’ve been experiencing, some things never change: I still love a vaguely mod/rocker 60s-influenced mash-up.
Leather jacket: Aviatrix, remixed. Still loving this.
Ribbed turtleneck: Marks & Spencer, remixed. This is the garment that kept me from pulling the trigger on this until now. No matter how chilly it gets in summer (and oh, does it around here), and no matter how lightweight the jumper (and it is) I cannot bring myself to wear a turtleneck any sooner than mid-September. I suppose I could’ve worn it with a scoop or v-neck shirt, but the whole outfit vision specifically included the turtleneck.
Pendant: H&M, remixed.
Skirt: Warehouse. I wanted a short, full, white skirt, and while this is edging towards cream, it’s close enough. Belt came with it.
