St. Valentine’s Day at Everybody, Everywear brings one of my all-time favourite colour combinations of red and pink. I don’t actually need an event to wear these two colours together, but it doesn’t hurt anyway.
On a previous EBEW, I wore a similar outfit. (I’m pretty sure we were doing coloured tights that time around.) It feels a bit like cheating, to remix the red coat again, but it was perfect for the weather, and it’s one of my favourite pieces for hooking red and pink together, so here we go again with the red coat, I guess.
Go check out the other participants, and if you’re so inclined, have a very happy Valentine’s Day!
Details:
Necklace: Vintage Anne Klein, remixed. I’m sure I’ve mentioned this before, but I BOUGHT this vintage piece NEW. OK, I was pretty darn young, and this necklace seemed shockingly pricey to me at the time, but it’s one of the finest examples I have of a so-called investment piece that was worth it.
Coat: Marks & Spencer, remixed.
Jumper: H&M.
Skirt: Monsoon, a Retail Chicken Victory piece. I white-knuckled it through 30%, 50%, and finally made it to 70% off. My sangfroid was largely attributable to the fact that they had at least four in my size throughout this round of RC. I probably would’ve broken earlier, had there been only one, because I really love this skirt.
Tights: Dorothy Perkins, remixed. I picked up another pair of these in for £1 today (hooray, end-of-season tights prices at DP), since I’m very fond of this colour, and glad to have a back-up pair.
Clutch: Jane Norman, remixed.
Shoes: Remixed.
Roses: From spouse, via David Austin Roses. They’re pink and red, too!
